Why We Exist
The It Takes a Village Fund exists to help students overcome financial barriers to education through community-powered funding and support. We believe no student should miss an opportunity because of a financial gap — and that when a village comes together, futures change.

How the Village Works
Students Apply
Students with a college acceptance letter and a financial gap apply at itvfund.co/apply. No geographic restrictions. If you've earned your seat, we want to help you sit in it.
Campaigns Launch
Approved students get their own campaign page. The community can see exactly who they're funding, what school they're attending, and what the gap amount is.
The Village Shows Up
Donors give directly to specific students. Every dollar is held by The Male's Place — a nonprofit organization serving the community for 30+ years — and disbursed directly to each student's school bursar upon enrollment confirmation.
Students Get to Campus
Funds go directly to the school — never to students directly. The gap closes. The student enrolls. The village made it happen.
